For 2012 British Wing Car Championship the venue will be the Daytona 8 Lane Track at Millstream Raceway in Ringwood - please check out the race dates on the Events Calendar

The British Wing Car Championship

The championship has been running for several years, firstly at Wildfields (Guildford Surrey) and more recently at Pinewood Raceway (Wokingham Berks). All racers would like to say a massive thank you to Nigel Barrow of Pinewood for letting us use the track for our meetings.

However, we shall still continue to organise events at Pinewood for the GT and Falcon class as well as the new class of 4 1/2" NASCAR which are providing a grat deal of fun.

Wing cars are better suited to larger tracks and we have gained approval from the Millstream management to run all 2012 events on the new Daytona track.

So we shall contiunue the BWCC at Millstream and our other classes at Pinewood.

The Falcon Class - Dates to follow

The Falcon class was introduced by fellow slot racers as a "low cost" form of racing with cars being easy to build but have good handling and performance. This coupled with other clubs adopting the class mean't thay could be used on a variety of tracks and and organised events.

We are conscious of the low number of new racers coming in to slot racing and wish to retain the ones we have so there is a proposal being made which is up for discussion.

The change is to allow any production chassis as well as the Merlin to run with a motor of the Falcon class up to the Falcon 7.

1/24 GT Open Challenge - Dates to follow

 This class has been extremely successful over the years but with the demise of the Super 16D motors we have to look at widening the Rules and Regulations to allow new motors in.

We now propose the addition of Super Wasps.

Body list for both classes will be posted shortly.

1/24 NASCAR 4 1/2" Challenge - Dates to follow

Based upon the Champion Turboflex 4 1/2" kit with the famous NASCAR bodies - they look awesome thundering around the track We have Team events and single racers - great fun to drive!
