Wing Car racing - the closest thing to flying - on the ground!

Pinewood Round 5 of the British Wing Car Championship

Rounds 5 was held on Sunday 9th November 2008

Where some clubs are struggling to keep up the number of racers - Pinewood goes from strength to strength!!

Sporting the official British Wing Car Championship Tee shirts, racers pose for a rare photograph prior to battle. Please see the results page.

We are also proud to show off our first lady of wing cars Mrs. Pam Maun pictured left.

Please remember that the event on the 14th December is Round 6 but the 1/24 GT will be with Morgan Aero 8 bodies. We shall also take time out for a AGM to discuss plans and obtain feedback from our racers.

We do ask that if you have anything by way of an agenda item to please use the e mail link and send it in that way. Or you can voice it on the day if you wish.

One change we are considering to run with the wing car events is alternating the 1/24 GT Challenge with a Falcon class. The bodies will proably be Can-Am. This will allow those who have Falcon motors to race them more often. Anyway, watch this space!!!

The British Wing Car Championship continues with their regular program of  two popular formats of racing -  the GT 1/24 Open Challenge and the BWCC Wingcar racing.

The atmosphere for competition and fun is always evident at Pinewood Raceway and with our numbers growing, meeting by meeting, we can prove we are doing things right!!

New "Wizard" chassis goes from strength to strength!

Sales of the new Wizard chassis have been steadlity growing in numbers and offers a fine balance of performance and cost for your wing car.

We shall shortly be setting up the web site advertsing the Wizard chassis as well as other slot racing components. So watch this space!!

Keep a look out for more news and developments on this great new chassis and components.
